Looking out the window today, it seems like a good time to talk about rain-outs.  Not trying to jinx the weekend, but there are a couple of points worth noting.

Contrary to popular belief, soccer can be played in the rain.  However, if the LHGCL official on site or in their absence, the referee decide it's time to stop, well, we stop...

Since Mother Nature showed her fangs this weekend, now is the perfect time to talk about reschedules. Most of this applies to initial scheduling, but let's stick to reschedules for this note.

There are several factors that are taken into account for reschedules, and it's difficult to make everyone happy. It's not rocket science, but some mental gymnastics are required...

If you’ve driven past the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Soccer Complex lately you probably noticed the construction activity at the complex near Coit Road.
That construction is a sign of big things happening in our soccer world.  Lake Highlands Girls Classic League (LHGCL), in concert with UTD is constructing four new fully lighted soccer fields increasing the number of fields in the complex to a total of 10.  The UTD complex now has a total of 10 soccer fields...
