UNDER 11 - PLAYING FORMAT
33 Teams for 20 Spots

ROUND 1:
7 Groups of 4 Teams
1 Groups of 5 Teams

All teams play each team in their group. First and second place teams from each Round 1 group will be qualified for LHGCL after Round 1 play. (16 Teams qualified)

ROUND 2:
All 3rd place teams from each group in Round 1 advance to Round 2, as follows:

Y1 = A3rd             Z1 = B3rd
Y2 = D3rd             Z2 = C3rd
Y3 = E3rd             Z3 = F3rd
Y4 = H3rd             Z4 = G3rd
All teams play each team in their group. First and second from each Round 2 group qualify for LHGCL after Round 2 play.

NOTE:  For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the 3rd and 4th place teams will be ranked according to the number of points earned in Round 2.

1st ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2 with highest points earned in Round 2
2nd ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2 with next highest points earned in Round 2
3rd ranking = 4th place team from Round 2 with highest points earned in Round 2
4th ranking = 4th place team from Round 2 with next highest points earned in Round 2

26 Teams for 10 Division II Spots

ROUND 1:
6 Groups of 3 Teams
2 Group of 4 Teams

All teams play each team in their group. First place teams from each Round 1 group qualify for LHGCL after the first round of play. (8 teams qualified)

ROUND 2:  All second place teams from each group in Round 1 advance to Round 2 as follows:

Y1 = A2nd                 Z1 = B2nd
Y2 = D2nd                 Z2 = C2nd
Y3 = E2nd                 Z3 = F2nd
Y4 = H2nd                 Z4 = G2nd
All teams play each team in their group. First place from each Round 2 group qualifies for LHGCL Division II.

NOTE:   For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the 2nd and 3rd place teams will be ranked according to the number of points earned in Round 2.

2 Groups of 4 Teams

All teams play each team in their group. All first place teams, plus the 2nd place team from any group with the highest points (wildcard*) from Round 1 group advance to Round 2.

*The wildcard team will be the team with the highest percentage of points earned compared to maximum possible points.

ROUND 2:
All first place teams from each group in Round 1 advance to Round 2 as follows:

X1 = A1st             Y1 = B1st         Z1 = C1st
X2 = F1st             Y2 = E1st         Z2 = D1st
X3 = Wildcard*     Y3 = H1st         Z3 = G1st

All teams play each team in their group. First place from each Round 2 group qualifies for LHGCL Division II.

NOTE:  For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the 2nd and 3rd place teams will be ranked according to the number of points earned in Round 2.

All teams play each team in their group. First place from each Round 1 group will be qualified for LHGCL Division II after Round 1 play. Second place teams from each group advance to Round 2.

ROUND 2:
All 2nd place teams from each group in Round 1 advance to Round 2, as follows:

Y1 = A2nd
Y2 = B2nd
Y3 = C2nd
Y4 = D2nd
All teams play each team in their group. First place team from Round 2 qualifies for LHGCL after Round 2 play.

NOTE:   For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the remaining teams from Round 2 play will be ranked according to their finish in Round 2.

1st ranking = 2nd place team from Round 2
2nd ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2
3rd ranking = 4th place team from Round 2

ROUND 2A (for last qualification spot for a bye into Plano or Arlington)
3rd place teams from Round 1 will play playoff games as follows:

Y1 = A3rd
Y2 = B3rd
Y3 = C3rd
Y4 = D3rd

The playoff games will be as follows:

Y1 v. Y4
Y2 v. Y3

The winners of the above playoff games will play each other in the following final game.

Z1 = Winner of Y1 v. Y4
Z2 = Winner of Y2 v. Y3

The winner of the final game will be the last qualifier for a bye into Plano or Arlington.

All teams play each team in their group. First place from each Round 1 group will be qualified for LHGCL Division II after Round 1 play.

ROUND 2:

All 2nd place teams from each group in Round 1 advance to Round 2, as follows:

X1 = A2nd
X2 = B2nd
X3 = C2nd
X4 = D2nd

All teams play each team in their group. First and second from Round 2 qualify for LHGCL after Round 2 play.

NOTE:  For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the 3rd and 4th place teams will be ranked according to the number of points earned in Round 2.

1st ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2
2nd ranking = 4th place team from Round 2

ROUND 2A (for last two qualification spots for a bye into Plano or Arlington)

3rd place teams from Round 1 will play playoff games as follows:

Z1 = A3rd
Z2 = B3rd
Z3 = C3rd
Z4 = D3rd

The playoff games will be as follows:

Z1 v. Z4
Z2 v. Z3

The winners of the above playoff games will be the 3rd and 4th place bye teams from Plano or Arlington. The highest point total from these two games will be the 3rd ranking team.

All 2nd place teams, plus the highest finishing 3rd place team (wildcard*) from Round 1 advance to Round 2, as follows:

X2 = D2nd             Y2 = C2nd
X3 = Wildcard       Y3 = E2nd

All teams play each team in their group. First and second place teams from each Round 1 group advance to Round 2.

All 2nd place teams from each group in Round 1 advance to Round 2, as follows:

X1 = A1st Y1 = B1st Z1 = C1st
X2 = F1st Y2 = E1st Z2 = D1st
X3 = D2nd Y3 = C2nd Z3 = F2nd
X4 = B2nd Y4 = A2nd Z4 = E2nd

All teams play each team in their group. All 3 first place teams and the two highest finishing second place teams from Round 2 qualify for LHGCL after Round 2 play.

NOTE:  For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the remaining 2nd place team and all 3rd place teams will be ranked according to the number of points earned in Round 2.

1st ranking = 2nd place team from Round 2 who didn’t qualify for LHGCL D-II
2nd ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2 with highest points earned in Round 2
3rd ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2 with next highest points earned in Round 2
4th ranking = 3rd place team from Round 2 with third highest points earned in Round 2

The second place teams from each Round 1 bracket will advance to Round 2:
    Y1 = A2nd
    Y2 = B2nd
    Y3 = C2nd
    Y4 = D2nd
The following two games will be played.  The winner of these two games will play each other to determine the fifth team to qualify for Division II.

  Y1 v. Y4 - Winner = Z1}
  Y2 v. Y3 - Winner = Z2} Winners of these 2 games advance to the final game:

  FINAL GAME:     Z1 v. Z2 = Winner qualifies for LHGCL Division II

NOTE:   For qualification for a bye into Plano or Arlington, the non-advancing teams from Round 2, plus the best 3rd place team from Round 1 will be ranked as follows:
REVISED:
1st ranking =  Loser of final game (Z1 v. Z2)
2nd ranking = Team from 2nd Round games (Y-team games) with lowest goal 
                        differential in the Y-team games (closest game score)
3rd ranking = Team from 2nd Round games (Y-team games) with highest goal 
                        differential in the Y-team games 
4th ranking = Third place team from Round 1 with the highest  percentage
                      of points earned compared to maximum possible points.
