INFORMATION FOR BYE
TEAMS
FOR FALL 2003
(Very Important -- Read Carefully)
TO TEAMS WITH A "BYE": You must
turn in your preliminary roster and a check for $400*
to the Commissioner listed below for your age division (to be
received on or before Wednesday, July 16. This information
must be in hand, not "it's in the mail" or hand
delivered the next day, etc. MAIL IT EARLY!).
This roster does not have to be registered because associations won't register
teams that early.
Failure to do so means your team forfeits their bye and must participate in the
qualifying tournament for entry into Division II. Your preliminary
roster must match your final Fall 2003 roster that you will turn in on August
14, and must comply with the N+1 Rule from the roster your commissioner had as
of April 1, 2003. Additions to your team are allowed, but deletes will be
monitored very, very closely. Too many deleted players can cause you to lose
your spot in the league.
*PLEASE NOTE NEW BYE TEAM
AMOUNT - $400 (Same fee as teams who play in the challenge games)
All bye teams pay the same amount, whether they played in the challenge games or
not.
Only one fee per team
DO NOT SEND YOUR
INFORMATION VIA CERTIFIED MAIL, FEDERAL EXPRESS, OR ANY OTHER METHOD THAT
REQUIRES A SIGNATURE. Most of our commissioners are not home during the
day to receive this type of delivery, and most cannot get to the post office
inside working hours to pick up certified mail. We will NOT guarantee that any
mail sent certified mail or Federal Express will be picked up. Mail your
application via regular U. S. Mail or hand deliver it to the commissioner. If
you question delivery, call or email the commissioner to check on it.

they attend. |
 | WRITTEN special scheduling requests (if any) for the Fall
2003 Season. All special requests (following the guidelines below) must
be made in writing and turned in to your Age Division Commissioner at the
coaches'/managers' meeting. YOU MUST be very specific about each
special request and YOU MUST list a reason for each request and how many
players are affected or the request will be ignored. |
Special Scheduling
Request
Guidelines:
1. Teams may not request any Saturdays off except
teams going to WAGS in the fall. (Teams may be asked to prove they are
going to WAGS by showing a copy of the acceptance letter, or some other
suitable form of proof.)
2. Teams are allowed to pick 5 specific days (specific dates) off to
allow for school sports only - no Saturdays.
(This does NOT mean that you should pick 5 dates to ask off just without
good cause. A majority of your players must actually be involved in
school sports.) Coaches at this level need to take a player's
commitment level into account when selecting members of the team.
3. We will do our best to schedule around coaching conflicts for
two teams only. Coaches who coach more
than two teams are on their own.
4. Spring Break - teams may request one week of weeknights off
ONLY if a majority of their players are
actually going out of town for spring break. No
Saturdays will be given off for Spring Break. Travel plans should be made to
leave Saturday after your game, and return the next Friday so players will
be available for play on Saturday.
5. U17 and U19 teams only can request Saturday mornings off for
SAT and ACT. |

1st or 2nd weekend of November, but we cannot guarantee
when it will end in the event of rainouts. REMEMBER: DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY TOURNAMENTS THE
