2006 LHGCL QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT

July 29 - August 6, 2006
(With weeknight games during the week in between, if necessary)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  GAMES IN THE LHGCL 2006 QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT
WILL NOT BE USED TO QUALIFY FOR THE ARLINGTON OR PLANO LEAGUES

The Qualifying Tournament is for Entry into LHGCL Divisions II & III only

ENTRY DEADLINE IS MONDAY, JULY 17, 2006
(Application must be RECEIVED by Commissioner or Executive Director by this date)

Games will be played at UTD in Richardson
and Pizza Hut Park in Frisco
(Specific Field Assignments for Age Divisions will
be announced after entries are received)

Information for Teams who Qualify for the League

Tournament Approval/Sanction Form

APPLICATIONS, CHECKS, AND PRELIMINARY ROSTERS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN Monday, JULY 17, 2006--NO EXCEPTIONS!! APPLICATIONS SENT VIA CERTIFIED MAIL, FEDERAL EXPRESS, OR ANY OTHER METHOD THAT REQUIRES A SIGNATURE MAY ONLY BE SENT TO THE LEAGUE OFFICE. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THE COMMISSIONER THAT REQUIRES A SIGNATURE. Most of our commissioners are not home during the day to receive this type of delivery, and most cannot get to the post office inside working hours to pick up certified mail. We will NOT guarantee that any application sent certified mail or Federal Express to a commissioner will be picked up. If you have a question regarding delivery of your application, email the commissioner to check on it.

U11 & U12 teams have a roster limit of no more than 16 players. U13 through U16 have a roster limit of no more than 18 players.  U17 & U19 have a roster limit of no more than 22 players. Players born on or after August 1, 1996 are not eligible. Teams must play in age division of their oldest player. TEAMS MUST HAVE AT LEAST 14 PLAYERS ON THEIR ROSTER TO ENTER.

Each team is required to name a volunteer who will work as a field
marshal for one 2-to-4 hour shift at the fields during the tournament. 
Each volunteer will be scheduled to work before or after one of your
team's games.  Put volunteer information on entry form.

Out of Town Teams Who Will Be Staying in a Hotel During The Tournament Must Stay in Our Approved Tournament Hotel.

If your team is staying in a hotel, you must make all reservations through:

(Staying in a non-tournament hotel can be cause to not accept your team into the tournament and withhold an invitation to the league.)

ONE COPY OF FINAL, APPROVED, REGISTERED fall rosters

A signed, notarized MEDICAL RELEASE for EACH player.

Information for Teams who Qualify for the League.

SEASON DATES: Weeknight games will begin during the week of August 21 and will play weeknight games through September 7. Weekend games will begin on Saturday, September 9. We will not schedule games over the Labor Day weekend.  We try to end the fall season around the 1st weekend of November, but we cannot guarantee when it will end in the event of rainouts.  REMEMBER:  DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY TOURNAMENTS THE WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER 4-5.  THIS WEEKEND IS RESERVED FOR RAINOUT MAKEUP GAMES.

 

NO DOGS ALLOWED AT UTD or PHP. PLEASE!!!! TELL ALL YOUR PARENTS
AND/OR SPECTATORS NOT TO BRING THEIR DOGS TO THE COMPLEX.
WE DON’T WANT ANY DOGS LEFT IN THE CAR. THEY CAN DIE FROM THE HEAT!!!!
