FC Dallas /Lake Highlands Girls
Classic League Scholarship Awards
The Lake Highlands Girls Classic League is proud
to team up with the FC Dallas to award scholarships to student-athletes
for outstanding academic and athletic achievements
Awards available include:
One $1,500 FC Dallas Scholarship
Three $ 500 FC Dallas Scholarships for Finalists
One $1,000 Classic League Scholarship (Renewable
Annually for Four Years. Student Athlete receiving this award must
maintain a GPA of 3.0 and be a full time student all four years for the
scholarship to be renewed. )
Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate from high school
Be a Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Player and a senior in HS
Be accepted and attend an accredited four-year college
Selection based on:
Scholastic Performance (including test scores)
Citizenship and Leadership History
Previous Soccer Participation and Intent to Play at College Level**
A&D History
Financial Need
Interview Evaluations for Finalists
** To comply
with the NCAA Guidelines, the Final Selection Panel may not use athletic
ability or intent to play at the collegiate level as a major criterion in
their decisions

2007 APPLICATION IS NOW AVAILABLE
It's time for the
Scholarship Committee to begin the application process for the FC Dallas
/Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Scholarship Awards. Download the 2007
Application or obtain a copy from the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League
soccer office. Any senior playing in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic
League is eligible to apply.
It is important when
you apply that three (3) letters of recommendation, a personal essay, and
the fully completed application form be postmarked by the deadline via US
mail or be received in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League office by
the 5:00 pm April 2, 2007 deadline. The Scholarship Committee will
not consider partial or late applications.
