HOW DO I TURN ON THE LIGHTS AT UTD?
| A few rules about the lights
at UTD... Home team of the early game
turns the lights on (see instructions below).
The home team is responsible for turning
off the lights after the late game (see instructions below). However,
BOTH TEAMS of the last game are responsible if the lights are left on.
If they are left on, BOTH TEAMS of the last game will be fined $50 for the
first offense, $100 for the second offense, etc.
THE LIGHTS MUST BE
TURNED OFF AFTER THE LAST GAME AND IT IS BOTH TEAMS' RESPONSIBILITY!
The light boxes are located on a light pole
on the east side of each field, close to the walkway through the
middle of the park.
Each light switch is enclosed in a box.
-
Contact your Commissioner
for operating code. DO NOT GIVE THIS CODE TO ANYONE ELSE.
-
Enter your code and turn the
knob clockwise. If you enter an incorrect code, turn the knob to clear,
then re-enter correct code. Buttons are numbered '1 thru 5', beginning
with '1' at the top.
-
Inside box is a timer
switch. Turn this timer clockwise to activate the lights. If they do not
come on right away, it is because they are all controlled by a 'Central
Timer', which has not yet reached it's "ON" Time. When the 'Central Timer'
comes on, then your field lights will come on. The 'Central Timer' is
controlled by UTD. The time it activates varies depending upon the time of
year.
-
After you have turned on the
timer, make sure you close the door on the box.
-
If you play in the last game
on a field, it is BOTH teams' responsibility to turn off the lights. Enter
the code, open the door, and turn the timer counter-clockwise until lights
are off. Failure to turn off the lights and lock the box results in a
$50.00 Fine for EACH team.
-
MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE THE DOOR
AND ENSURE THAT IT IS LOCKED.
If you have any questions
or problems, please contact your Age Commissioner.
Note: Light box code will
be changed at the end of each playing season.
